Your Itinerary
You'll be picked up by our company representative from the airport or your accommodation facility in Nairobi for a scenic drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. You will have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to stretch your legs and photograph the contrasting landscapes including Mount Longonot. You'll proceed driving through the Rift Valley floor to the Mara arriving in good time for lunch. Thereafter, Embark on your first game drive this afternoon to return back at sunset
One of our favourite places to look for wildlife in Kenya is the Mara National Reserve. That's because the wildlife here is incredible, with big cats (lions, leopards, cheetahs) and elephants among the highlights. There's a very good chance you'll also see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and, of course, impalas. Bring your binoculars, because more than 500 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve. It's a place of beautiful savannah landscapes and lots of acacia trees.
This is a full day spent game viewing across the rich tree-studded grassland and rolling hills of the famous "Eighth Wonder of the Animal World". The Mara is known for its great herds of plains game animals like leopards, cheetahs and lions. It also has numerous elephants and every other type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. You will have a full-day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve.
Your lunch today is picnic lunch boxes in the savannah under a flat-top acacia tree while watching the animals grazing. You will continue with the game-viewing en route to your camp, arriving late in the afternoon after thoroughly exploring this massive grassland savannah measuring 1,500 sq km.
You have an option of booking a balloon ride today which takes off early in the morning. After landing, the crew will help you out of the basket and escort you to a lovely setting for a bush breakfast. It is a lifetime experience and worth the price.
Today after breakfast, you will drive north through Narok to Njoro road which crosses the beautiful sceneries of the fertile wheat lands of Mau and the Mau forest complex. You will arrive at the lodge in good time for lunch, check in to your lodge and later depart for an afternoon game drive in the park.
Lake Nakuru is among Kenya's finest national parks. The park is gorgeous all year-round park and boasts rocky escarpments, patches of yellow-barked acacia forest, and a waterfall. It is home to flamingos, both black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, buffaloes, hippos, and the endangered Rothschild's giraffes. The southern end of the lake is the best place to see wildlife. The forested area below the Rhinos cliff is a favourite lion-spotting point where lionesses love to sleep in the trees, and leopards frequent. Afterwards, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Depart for an early game drive this morning and thereafter, Return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast before driving to Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in Kenya outside the town of Naivasha northwest of Nairobi famous for its strong population of hippos, Giraffes, wildebeest, and the over 400 bird species in the forest surrounding the lake making it the perfect destination for birders from all corners of the world.
On arrival, You will proceed for a Boat ride excursion in Lake which is a refreshing experience that takes you on the breezy lake waters as you explore the diverse bird life and wildlife on the lake and its surroundings. You will have a brief nature walk on the island which is an excellent opportunity to appreciate nature around the island and return back to the hotel for lunch. After Lunch, Proceed to the nearby Hells Gate National Park which inspired the movie "The Lion King, This is the only park where you ride bicycles with wild animals grazing.
Today after an early breakfast, you will depart from Lake Naivasha through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint traversing through Nairobi city to the main highway to Mombasa and stopping at Emali town for a quick health stop. You will proceed to Amboseli arriving in good time for lunch.
You will embark on your first-afternoon game drive exploring the acacia woodland, freshwater swamps, scrub brush, and open plains in search of wildlife. Amboseli National Park (392 sq km) is famously known for the breathtaking panoramic view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain on earth and the tallest in Africa (5,895m). Amboseli is also an elephant’s paradise where the massive African savannah elephants roam from swamp to swamp, grazing all day. Because of the abundance of water and pasture, the bull elephants here weigh up to 6 tons. Other animals to be spotted here are cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests (gnus), gazelles, hippos, and many others.
You will leave the camp after breakfast, carrying your packed lunch to be enjoyed in the wild. You will spend the whole day exploring the marshlands and swamps of Amboseli which are fed by subterranean water channels. Water is abundant throughout the year and so is the pasture. Elephants and various other herbivores are found here. You will retreat to the lodge late in the afternoon after a long exploration of this 392 sq km park
You also have an option of starting the day with an early morning game drive to search for animals when they're at their most active. Then, return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast and lunch.
You'll spend the hottest part of the day relaxing in camp reading your favorite book writing your journal about the safari or just listening to your favorite music while observing the birds. Then, you'll head off again in the afternoon at 4:00 p.m. for another drive through the park. You'll return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Today after a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred back to Nairobi and proceed to the Carnivore Restaurant for (optional) lunch/dinner. Later, be dropped off at your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport to mark the end of your safari.
Note- If you have a late departure, we can arrange for a visit to the Giraffe Center, home to a towering crew of the endangered Rothschild giraffes. Alternatively visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, a rescue and rehab centre for orphaned baby elephants, open to the public for one hour between 11-12 a.m. for viewing mud baths and feeding.
Note- We can also arrange a flight/train from Nairobi to the coastal beaches of Kenya Diani or Mombasa if you wish to extend your trip to Kenya's white sand beaches when booking this trip.
